Covid-19: Malaysia very likely has more Omicron cases, warns Khairy

There’s a big likelihood that there are already more Covid-19 cases of the Omicron variant in Malaysia since the South African university student arrived in the country on Nov 19, a week before the World Health Organisation (WHO) designated Omicron as a variant of concern (VOC) on Nov 26, said Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Health Minister warned on Friday (Dec 3), adding that his ministry will increase genomic surveillance on the Omicron variant to be certain.
