Covid-19: Malaysians in Iran, Italy expected to be repatriated this week

Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Kamaruddin Jaafar on Monday (March 16) said discussions between Malaysian authorities and their counterparts from Tehran and Rome are currently ongoing to repatriate Malaysians this week.
All 48 Malaysians registered with the embassy in Iran are to be brought home while out of the 323 in Italy, only 79 are expected to return home as the rest are permanent residents and want to remain there.
