Covid-19 tests for foreigners at govt outlets free, clarifies Health D-G

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has clarified that foreign nationals who exhibit Covid-19 infection symptoms need not pay outpatient treatment fee at government hospital or clinics.
Dr Noor Hisham said that in a press conference on Monday.
The Health DG said following a ministry circular dated on January 29, fee will not be imposed on the foreigners regardless of their socio-economic status for a Covid-19 test, and added that however, if a foreigner goes to the ministry’s clinic or hospital for non Covid-19 illnesses, they will be charged a fee set by the government.
