Covid-19 update: 43 new cases, death of oldest patient at 96

Malaysia recorded 43 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday (June 13), bringing the total number of infections to 8,445.
Health Ministry director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the new cases, five were imported cases, and 38 involved local transmission.
Malaysia also recorded the death of a 96-year-old Malaysian woman, who died at home and later tested positive for Covid-19 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Sabah, making her the oldest person to succumb to the virus in the country.
