'Datuk'-led syndicate smashed with arrest of 291, seizure of drugs worth RM6.26mil

A man with the title "Datuk", believed to be the leader of a drug syndicate, was among 291 people arrested in a massive operation spanning Johor, Perak and the city.
Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said drugs worth RM6.26mil, along with several luxury vehicles – including an executive sedan worth at least RM300,000 – were seized during the operation, codenamed Ops Gaurus, between June 17 and 21.
