DBKL enforcement assistant fined RM13k over "Ali Baba" licences, two others claim trial

A Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement assistant was fined RM13,000 by the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Aug 15) after admitting to five counts of accepting RM1,200 in bribes to shield premises operating under "Ali Baba" licenses.
In a related case, two other DBKL enforcement assistants pleaded not guilty to similar charges in a separate Sessions Court.
