Deputy Minister calls for special task force to address statelessness in Peninsula

A special task force should be established to address the issues of stateless individuals in Peninsular Malaysia, says K. Saraswathy.

The National Unity Deputy Minister suggested during a forum on statelessness in Malaysia on Friday (July 5) that this task force should model itself after the successful initiative in Sarawak.

Meanwhile, Human Rights Commission of Malaysia commissioner Ragunath Kesavan criticised the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2024, calling it regressive.
