A dessert vendor in Phitsanulok, Thailand wakes up at the crack of dawn to make a motley of Thai desserts and sells them at the affordable price of Bt5 (less than US$1) apiece.
He is known by many in the province’s downtown area as he walks around carrying two large rattan baskets filled with these goodies while balancing a large but flat rattan tray on his head.
The 58-year-old explained that he has been making and selling Thai desserts since he was a child with his mother and took over the business after she passed away.
