DG: Delay in reporting reason behind drastic rise in cases, Sunday records 5,298 new cases

The Health Ministry has confirmed that a delay in reporting Covid-19 cases to the National Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre has led to a drastic increase in cases lately.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that in a statement Sunday (Jan 31), adding that these delayed cases have been given the appropriate action by the district health office.
Meanwhile, Malaysia recorded 5,298 new Covid-19 cases and 14 fatalities on Sunday (Jan 31).
