DIGP calls for AI-driven, data-based policing culture at PDRM

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay says PDRM must leverage digitalisation, data analytics and AI to keep pace with evolving threats like cybercrime, online scams, deepfakes and transnational crime.
Speaking at the 2026 PDRM Innovation Day launch in Shah Alam, he said smart policing requires a data-driven, integrity-focused culture — not just new technology.
