Divorcee claims ex-husband steals her identity

A calligrapher claimed that that her ex-husband has stolen the identity of her and their sons to buy insurance, open income tax accounts, and to conduct banking transactions.
The 55-year-old victim, who wished to stay anonymous, said that at a press conference together with MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Seri Michael Chong on Tuesday.
Chong said the case was not the first one his department had received and cautioned divorcees to look out for potential fraud from their ex-spouses.
