Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the ‘culture of fear’ is over and youth leaders are now free to speak up and keep the government in check.
She said they have the freedom to criticise and give constructive ideas to the government as long as this is done in a manner that is respectful to religion and Malaysian values.
Dr Wan Azizah also urged the youth groups to ramp up the number of women leaders in their respective organisations.
She said this while launching the 70th anniversary of the MYC at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre on Monday.
