Dr M: 1MDB audit report no longer confidential, statement will be made on Ambrin

After attending a dinner held by the Administrative and Diplomatic Officers' Alumni Association on Sunday, Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad told reporters that the government will release a report on damage control undertaken by his administration latest by next year. He also dismissed former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s lawyers’ claim that the release of the 1MDB audit report is a contempt of court. He revealed that a statement will be made by the National Audit Department over former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang’s act of removing certain content related to Jho Low in the 1MDB audit report in 2016.
