The government will not make the Council of Eminent Persons' (CEP) 100-day report public for now to avoid derailing ongoing investigations and possible defamation suits, the Prime Minister said when answering a question raised by Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil in Parliament
on Thursday.
He added that it was necessary to classify the CEP report under the Official Secrets Act as there could still be a need to carry out investigations into matters raised in the report.
