Dr M: Denying growing racial polarisation will lead to bigger problems

The government should not deny growing racial polarisation in the country, as it could lead to bigger problems if not dealt with, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The Former Prime Minister said that when debating the motion of thanks on the Royal Address in Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (July 21), citing economic disparity and unequal distribution of wealth as the cause for racial disputes.
Dr Mahathir, who is Langkawi MP, suggested the National Population Census help identify racial differences to allow action to be taken to address the problem.
