Dr M lodges police report against PM over US trade deal

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has lodged a police report against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over the Malaysia–US Reciprocal Trade Agreement (ART), alleging it was signed without the required constitutional mandate.
Dr Mahathir accused the agreement of undermining national sovereignty, saying it contains clauses that give the US overriding powers and require Malaysia to refer certain actions to them.
Dr Mahathir called on police to investigate Anwar for possible legal or constitutional violations, noting that more than 139 related reports have already been lodged nationwide.
