E-invoicing for SMEs with RM1mil to RM5mil sales postponed, says Anwar

The government has postponed the mandatory rollout of e-invoicing for companies with annual sales of RM1mil to RM5mil after concerns that many are unprepared due to high implementation costs.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also announced a reduction in the sales and services tax on rental services from 8% to 6%, alongside a full exemption for MSMEs earning below RM1.5mil annually, a move that will cost the government nearly RM500mil in revenue.
