Eateries, food courts new hotspots for prostitution in KL, says Zaliha

The KL Strike Force has identified eateries and food courts around Jalan Pudu and Jalan Loke Yew in Kuala Lumpur as new hotspots for prostitution, the Dewan Rakyat was informed on Thursday.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr. Zaliha Mustafa said the special unit, since its inception in May, has raided 209 premises in the federal capital linked to prostitution, arresting 781 individuals - 149 locals and 632 foreigners.

Dr. Zaliha, who also serves as an advisor to the KL Strike Force, added that Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has led four integrated operations targeting foreign-run business premises through September.
