Electric tariffs will be maintained for domestic uses and SMEs

When tabling Budget 2023 at the Dewan Rakyat on Friday, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said electric tariffs will be maintained for domestic uses and SMEs.
However, tariffs for big companies except those in the food and agriculture sectors will be increased.
Anwar also said the government is proposing that a 'luxury goods tax' be implemented this year, including expensive fashion items and luxury watches.
