The Department of Environment is investigating the discovery of 40 bags suspected of containing scheduled waste in an open area near Kulim, Kedah, says Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday (June 23), the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister stated that the ministry has recommended to the state government that new industrial developments adopt a gated and guarded concept, which aims to enhance surveillance and monitoring capabilities for the authorities.
