An environmental crimes unit will be set up soon to tackle illegal activities that threaten the country's natural resources, says Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
The Environment and Water Minister said that at his visit to the Air Selangor Water Treatment Plant in Bestari Jaya to get updates on water supply restoration efforts to affected households in the Klang Valley on Monday (Sept 7), adding that plans are in place to coordinate efforts between the ministry, police and the armed forces to protect precious resources from being polluted and affecting the country's security.
Separately, Tuan Ibrahim said water supply is expected to be fully restored by 6am on Wednesday (Sept 9).
