Ex-HK chief executive: Right decision to postpone legislative council election

Former Hong Kong chief executive Leung Chun-ying has welcomed Beijing’s decision to allow the sixth Hong Kong Legislative Council to continue to perform its duties although it is supposed to end its term in September and have fresh polls.
Leung also said the implementation of the national security legislation with the arrests of those who were said to be breaching the law has helped maintained social order in the city.
