A steel structural fabrication plant in Subang Jaya, Selangor was raided on Friday after it was found to have violated Covid-19 standard operating procedures for operating, as the factory was not in the manufacturing sector and allowed to operate.
This was the first day of the nationwide massive scale crackdown under Ops Patuh.
Leading the raid was Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin who said the large-scale compliance operations started on July 2 would witness Royal Malaysia Police assets, such as drones and helicopters, being deployed in some areas to ensure SOPs are complied with.
