Fadillah: M'sia to launch cross-border renewable energy auction for S'pore by year-end

Malaysia’s cross-border renewable energy auction for Singapore’s energy importer, managed by Energy Exchange Malaysia (ENEGEM), is set to begin by year-end, announced Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
Speaking at the 2nd Sustainability Environment Asia (SEA) 2024 conference on Wednesday (Nov 13), Fadillah, who also serves as the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, highlighted that this initiative is part of Malaysia’s broader efforts to integrate regional power grids and enhance energy security across Asean member states.
