Families get to meet 12 detained over alleged links to LTTE for two hours on Deepavali

Family members of the 12 people held over their supposed links with the Tamil Tigers will be able to meet with the detainees for Deepavali on Sunday at the detention centre where they are being held.
Gadek assemblyman G. Saminathan’s wife V. Umah Devi told reporters that when met outside Bukit Aman police headquarters on Saturday adding that only eight close family members will be allowed to meet the detainees for two hours.
DAP Deputy Chairman Gobind Singh Deo, who was also present to show the party support to the detainees and urged the police to speed up the investigation on the case.
