Eight families who refused to move out of their homes in the Taman Manggis People’s Housing Project in Jalan Zainal Abidin, George Town got into a standoff with an enforcement team on Wednesday.
They then marched to Komtar to hand over a memorandum to the Penang Chief Minister.
A resident 51-year-old Muhammad Kutnan Kadim was arrested at his home by the police after refusing to vacate his home premises.
