A survivor of a deadly pub fire in Thailand's capital Bangkok said on July 13 that she and two friends narrowly avoided death only because they had stepped outside to smoke moments before the blaze erupted.

Another survivor who is a staff at the Rong Beer Na Lat Phrao pub said he was in the toilet when the fire broke out but he was looking for his missing brother.
