Five telcos sign SSA for 70% equity in DNB, with each injecting RM233mil

Five mobile network operators (MNOs) have signed a share subscription agreement (SSA) with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) that will see each of them inject approximately RM233mil.

Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil told a media conference on Friday (Dec 1) that the next step is to assist DNB in hitting the targeted 80% coverage of populated areas (COPA) for 5G.

Fahmi also gave an assurance that the 5G service being used by the people would not be disrupted both throughout the process of completing the 80 per cent coverage and when entity B is established and the second network is developed.
