Floods: Govt expresses grief over natural disaster, says PM

The government expresses grief over the flooding that hit the country at the end of 2021, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
In his address in Parliament on Thursday (Jan 20), the Prime Minister said according to police figures, 55 fatalities were recorded due to the unusual floods involving 40 men, 12 women, two boys and one girl, while two more victims are reported to be missing, and extended his condolences and sympathy to those who have lost their family members as a result of this disaster which also resulted in damage and destruction of homes and property.
