Floods hit several areas in northern Peninsular Malaysia

Heavy rain in northern Peninsular Malaysia have caused floods in Kedah and Penang on Wednesday (Aug 18).
About 600 victims from several villages in Teluk Kumbar, Penang were affected by flash floods.
In Alor Setar, Kedah flash floods forced the evacuation of villagers living near the foothills of Gunung Jerai.
Titi Hayun and Seri Perigi hill and water recreational parks in Yan District and surrounding areas were badly affected.
