Floods: Number of evacuees in Melaka now 2,537, three new relief centres opened

The number of flood evacuees in the state here has gone up to 2,537 as at 8am Monday (Jan 3,) says the Civil Defence Force (APM).
Meanwhile, Melaka Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) director Abd Hakim Hamzah on Sunday said all the sluice gates in the state had been opened to reduce overflowing of water from the Melaka River to the low-lying areas.
