Foreign worker intake ceiling to be achieved by year-end, says Home Minister

The projected ceiling for foreign worker intake, capped at 15% of the national workforce by the Economy Ministry, is expected to be met by December 31 this year, announced Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Speaking at a joint meeting between the Human Resources Ministry and the Home Ministry on Migrant Workers Management on Monday (May 20), the Home Minister stated that this projection includes the existing number of foreign workers, those with employer-approved quotas, and those registered under the Workforce Recalibration Programme.
