French woman repatriated from MV Hondius remains in serious condition: health minister

France has confirmed one case of Andes strain hantavirus among passengers repatriated from the cruise ship MV Hondius.

The 65-year-old patient is in intensive care at Bichat Hospital in Paris, while four other French nationals evacuated from the ship have so far tested negative.

President Emmanuel Macron said the situation is under control and that France has adopted some of Europe’s strictest quarantine measures.
