Gardener jailed for burning stepdaughter with hot knife

A gardener was sentenced to three years jail and fined RM10,000 by a George Town Sessions Court after he pleaded guilty to abusing his 10-year-old step-daughter.
36-year-old S.Vasadha Kumar admitted to have burnt the girl with a hot knife at an apartment in Lebuh Maccallum on Feb 1.
Judge Norsalha Hamzah said it was a serious offence as it involved a child.
