Gender Outlook Forum 2025 aims to drive gender equality agenda

Selangor is reinforcing its position as a leader in women’s empowerment by hosting the two-day Gender Outlook Forum 2025, themed Advancing Gender Equality in Asean, beginning Thursday (Aug 28), said state executive councillor Anfaal Saari.

Organised by Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS), the forum aims to mainstream gender equality in policymaking and foster dialogue among stakeholders at both regional and local levels.

In her speech, Anfaal noted that as part of its commitment to Asean’s gender equality vision, Selangor became the first state in Malaysia to introduce the Gender Mainstreaming Pilot Project and the Gender-Responsive Budgeting initiative.
