GISB members still practise Aurad Muhammadiyah teachings, says IGP

Police investigations found that GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB) members are believed to still practice "Aurad Muhammadiah" teachings, which was practiced by the Al-Arqam sect before it was declared deviant in 1994.
During a press conference on Monday (Sept 23), Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said the finding came after various books and writings on Aurad Muhammadiyah were seized during Op Global on Saturday (Sept 21).
Razarudin added that the materials have been handed over to the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI) for further investigation.
