Govt agrees in principle for more parliamentary seats for Sarawak, Sabah, says Fadillah

The proposal to increase parliamentary seats for Sabah and Sarawak will require further discussions before any decision is made, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Speaking after the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) implementation action council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Friday (Sept 12), Fadillah said the delay was due to differing legal views between the Federal Attorney General and the state attorneys general of Sabah and Sarawak.
