Govt in talks with Bank Negara, including extension of bank loan moratorium

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (July 27) that a decision with regards to the existing six-month moratorium on bank loans would be announced soon.
He said the government is in discussions with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the banking sector on the direction to help the people face the financial implications of Covid-19, including the issue of further moratoriums.
