Govt introduces RM30 health checks for eligible commercial drivers above 40 years old

The government has launched the Pemandu Sihat dan Selamat (PSS) programme, offering RM30 comprehensive health check-ups for commercial drivers aged 40 to 59, where eligible drivers will receive a RM55 subsidy for screenings at 500 panel clinics nationwide.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said on Tuesday (June 30) that about 30,000 drivers are expected to benefit, adding that PSS will digitalise drivers' health records through integration with JPJ's MySikap system.

Human Resources Minister R. Ramanan said the screenings include physical examinations, vision and hearing tests, and urged transport employers to encourage eligible workers to participate.
