Govt plans to improve tax transparency

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz says the government is looking into implementing the medium-term revenue strategy to improve tax transparency and increase tax revenue as a percentage of GDP (gross domestic product) from the current 15.4%.
He said in his speech at a dialogue organised by The Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia (FHAM) and supported by Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion, the Federation of Malaysia Lim Associations and Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association.
