Govt proposes banning smartphones for under-16s to tackle school violence

Several measures were proposed during a Cabinet meeting discussing the increase in violence at national schools, among them banning the use of smartphones for those under 16 years old, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“We find that the influence of social media, and also online games, leads to worrying behaviours,” said Anwar.
