Starting Nov 1, the prices of cigarettes and alcoholic beverages will increase due to new tax measures aimed at reducing smoking and alcohol consumption.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar stated that this initiative was part of the government's efforts to strengthen the overall strategy "Agenda Nasional Malaysia Sihat".
