Govt says no need to enact new laws to preserve unity and harmony

Deputy National Unity Minister Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker said in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday that there is no need for Malaysia to enact new laws to preserve harmony and unity among the multi-cultural and races in the country as the current laws are sufficient.
He added that rather than enacting new laws, the focus should be on enforcement, implementation and awareness education.
