Govt setting up committee to look into music royalties for musicians, including P. Ramlee’s heirs

The government will look into the issue of royalty payments for the country's musicians including the heirs of the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee.
Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil said that during the post-Cabinet meeting press conference at his ministry on Friday (March 3), adding that a meeting between him and Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub next week with the aim of forming a committee to look into aspects involving royalty payments and the development of the music industry.
