Govt to assess effectiveness of SOP in schools over the weekend, says Deputy Health Minister

The government will assess the effectiveness of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in schools over the weekend, says Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali.
The Deputy Health Minister said the three days are crucial as the ministry will evaluate whether the SOPs should be changed and made stricter or if the current one is good enough.
Dr Noor Azmi said that on Wednesday after visiting SMK Putrajaya Presint 11(1) during recess time, adding that if Covid-19 cases are detected in schools, the ministry may decide to temporarily close the affected school.
