Govt to crack down on unregulated e-commerce platform

The government will begin taking action against unregulated e-commerce platforms, following almost 2,000 public complaints over online scams, questionable halal labels and uncertified electrical and electronic products.

Government spokesman Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said the issue was raised during an e-commerce summit, where a participant questioned Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim about sellers operating without proper monitoring.
