Govt to issue strategic investor pass to make malaysia global investment destination

The government will actively issue the Strategic Investor Pass (SIP) for investors to enter Malaysia on a multiple-entry basis, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said at the Budget 2024 engagement session on Friday (July 14) that through this facilitation, strategic investors identified by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) will be able to stay in the country for a minimum of five years with a view to being extended for another five years.
