Govt to recruit almost 19,000 teachers to fill roles in four states

A special initiative will be conducted to recruit 18,702 teachers in Sarawak, Sabah, Selangor and Johor which are facing shortages.
Education Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin said that during a live press conference on Sunday (June 20), adding that with the recruitment of new teachers, the ministry will help ensure home-based teaching and learning during the pandemic can run smoothly.
Radzi said advertisements for the recruitment will be published on July 7 and eligible teachers will be posted to schools in stages from October.
