Govt to review business entry rules as foreign F&B outlets mushroom

The government will review guidelines on the entry and operations of foreign businesses in Malaysia following the rapid growth of overseas food and beverage (F&B) companies locally, the Dewan Rakyat heard on Thursday (Jan 22).

Deputy Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said this aims to protect local businesses and ensure they remain competitive in an increasingly congested business ecosystem.
