Govt will be upfront about energy supply risks and realities, says Saifuddin

The government will not dismiss or downplay the risks that global conflicts may pose to the country’s energy supply, but will ensure the public remains prepared for any eventuality, says Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

Speaking at the ministry’s monthly assembly on Monday (April 13), he said the key challenge is striking a balance between issuing early warnings to the public and avoiding unnecessary panic or excessive concern.
